That means you don’t have to deal with the long queue anymore. Now, if you're not aware of some slight changes in renewing your driver's license, don't worry. We got you covered! The following are the easy step in license renewal.

Step 1: Go to the LTO’s Online Service Portal

The first thing you have to do is go to the LTO’s online service portal to set an appointment. Here’s the link of the portal: https://www.lto.net.ph/LTO/Online. In the website, you’ll see three options: Motor Vehicle Renewal, Driver’s License Renewal, and Check Existing Online Appointment.Select the Driver’s License Renewal. After clicking, you’ll be asked to consent to the department’s policies and guidelines together with the Data Privacy Act of 2012. Step 2: Complete filling out the needed information

You will be routed to the license information sheet. Make sure to fill out all the necessary information. Always double check if the information you inputted is correct. The needed information in this sheet is your driver’s license number, first and last name, date of birth, address, mobile number and email address. After completing, click “next”.

Then you have to choose your preferred LTO branch. You first need to select your region and district office. Then the boxes on the left will provide the option once you’ve chosen.

After that, you now have to select a date for the appointment. The green ones are the dates that are still available. Select your preferred date. Make sure that the date you are 100% available on the date you set. And appear only in that specific date.

Step 3: Online Appointment Success

Once the whole online appointment is finished, you will see the success pop-up about your booking. The pop-up will also ask you to confirm your online booking via e-mail. Take note that you need to confirm your appointment booking within 3days; otherwise, it will be canceled.

The pop-up will also show you the required documents that you have to bring. They are the following:

  1. Duly accomplished driver's license application form (Click here to download yours)
  2. Your current/expired license card
  3. Medical certificate issued by an LTO-licensed physician
  4. A valid government ID
  5. A printed copy of your appointment slip after confirming

Step 4: Show up in the branch and follow the instructions

After preparing the necessary document, you can now proceed to the LTO branch you choose on your online appointment.Head there on the exact date and time as stated in your appointment. Hand over the documents to the LTO evaluator. All you have to do is follow the instruction on which window to head to and wait until your name is called.

Step 5: You’re done!

What usually follows is the usual process such as Biometrics, photo taking, fees payment, and the release of your driver’s license. The whole process is a lot faster compared to the previous processes. Thanks to the help of technology and internet, although, the speed may vary especially to the places or branches where internet is slow.

After this whole process, you will have your renewed driver’s license. You can now drive again without any worries. And remember to drive carefully and responsibly!
